Toilet Seat
Put down the toilet seat. I wish I had a dollar for every time I said that in my house. I have 4 people in my house who lift the toilet seat to do their thing. 3 of them do not put the toilet seat back down on a regular basis. One of them does.
How old do they have to be to get it? Every time I hear one of my boys in the washroom and realize that they have not put the toilet seat down I holler at them "put the toilet seat down". It just does not register in their brains on a regular basis. Some times they put it down and sometimes they don't. Go figure.
Being the only female in the house, I get a little sick of it. I should invent some sort of alarm that goes off if you leave the area without putting the toilet seat down. I wonder if that would even make a difference.
I often get up in the middle of the night to go to the washroom. The first thing I do before I sit down is make sure the toilet seat is down. I don't want to end up with a soaking wet butt and being stuck in the toilet bowl in the middle of the night.
We often have 5 or 6 boys here at a time. I must admit that I take some comfort in knowing that most of the boys who visit our house and use the facilities do not put the toilet seat down. Atleast it is not just my boys.
I guess once they are on their own or in a relationship with a girl they really care about, they may make more of an effort to put the toilet seat down. Not many women are going to put up with it. I wonder why it's the guys who have to put the seat down. I really do believe that if woman had to lift the seat to do their thing, they would put it right back down when they were finished.
