Round Pillows
The round table. That is an expression I have heard a few times. Join us at the round table. It is like a special club and very few in the club get the invitation to sit at the round table.
How about the square table? Does that count for anything?
Do they have special meetings at the round table? Is there a round table in the white house where special meetings take place? Probably.
I know that many poker games take place at a round table. That way you can see everyone you are playing against but can't see each other's cards very easily.
I like to have dinner with friends at a round table. Everyone is an equal part of the conversation. It is not like someone is stuck at the end of the table and not taking part in the conversation between 2 people at the other end.
I think most people buy a rectangular table because it takes up less space in the room. Since most rooms are rectangular it makes sense to put that shaped table in them. A round table can't sit up against the wall like a rectangular one does.
I think we see round tables in kitchens more often. If you have the room for it at the far end of the kitchen or in the breakfast area, it can be a great table for a family. Everyone can see each other and reach everything on the table. How about the round lazy susan's you can put on the table in the middle. Then you just spin it and get the salt and pepper, ketchup, pickles and what ever else you little heart desires.
