Sectional Sofa

A sectional sofa is a sofa that has sections. Some have 4 sections, some have 6, some may even have 8. When you sit on a sectional sofa you have to be sure to sit in the middle of the seat. If you sit in between 2 sections you may end up on the floor.

Sometimes you have to push the sections together so you don't fall through the cracks. Putting your sectional sofa on a carpet might solve the problem of the sections slipping on the hardwood floors and sliding apart.

When you eat on a sectional sofa you have to be careful because the crumbs fall down between the sections and on to the floor. Hopefully the dog is around when you move the sections to eat up all the crumbs.

A sectional sofa allows you to put the sections together in different ways. There are L shaped and U shaped sofas depending on which type you buy.

Leather sectional sofas are easy to clean because you can just wipe the leather off with a damp cloth. If you spill anything on it, you can clean it off.

Sectional sofas take up a lot of room because each section is a good size.

They are great to stretch out on to watch a movie or your favorite TV show.

I wonder who invented a sectional sofa. Maybe it was someone who lives in a basement and wanted a big couch but couldn't fit it down the stairs. The best solution was to cut the couch into sections to get it down there. I would imagine that many have turned a good sofa into a sectional sofa by doing just that. Thus, the sectional sofa was invented.
