Some people buy a garden shed ready made but more adventurous people get a shed plan and build their own garden shed. Being clever and trying to build a shed with no shed plan can lead to all manner of problems such as a misshapen shed or a shed that will collapse shortly after completion as you did not have a shed plan to follow. If you are really serious about your shed, get a professional to assist you with your shed plan.
Drawing up a shed plan is not as easy as it sounds. A shed plan is, however, easier to put together than blueprint for a cathedral plan or an airport blueprint. When writing your shed plan, ensure that it is kept in a safe place. It would be most unfortunate if your shed plan was eaten by your dog or thrown up on by your child. Do not laminate your shed plan however, as this will stop you making any necessary changes as the shed plan project progresses.

Alternatively, you could draw up your own shed plan and let someone else do the construction while you have a beer and admire your shed plan.
Do not get confused when you enter the world of the shed plan. Some people think that a shed plan is a plan that is thought of in a shed. Wrong. A shed plan is simply a blueprint for the shed of your dreams. Join the shed club, get a shed plan and get building. One last thing, when you have finished you shed plan and need to buy material, do not buy cheap wood as it will rot. I love it when a shed plan comes together.
