Treadmill

The treadmill is a great piece of equipment to use for a cardio workout. Not only are you getting all the benefits you would get from running outside but you are saving your body from the wear and tear of pounding on the pavement.

Treadmills are also a great option for people who like to power walk. No matter what the weather you can enjoy a great walk.

On a freezing cold snowy day, or a boiling hot humid day, you can go into the gym and walk for as long as you want. For elderly people, a treadmill is something they can enjoy in a safe supervised environment. Many elder people go to the mall and walk but for those who are fortunate enough to have a gym to use, it is a much more enjoyable experience.

The treadmill has a computer that you can program. It lets you decide if you want to climb steep hills, or walk on flat ground the entire time. You can increase or decrease your speed as you wish and can push the stop button at any time if you want to get off.

Treadmills allow you to socialize while exercising. They are usually lined up side by side and facing out the window of the gym if there is one. You can chat and watch the world go by as you run or walk along.

When you are finished your program, you can look at the computer screen on the treadmill to see how you did. You can find out how far you went, what your heart rate is and how long you were on the treadmill for.

Lots of people have a treadmill in their homes to use when they feel like a little exercise. I think that would be very convenient. Any time you were in the mood to use it, you could put your favorite show on TV, jump on the treadmill and off you go. Pretty easy. I think I would use it a lot if I was into some good TV shows that I watched every week. I would just get used to using my treadmill and seeing my favorite shows at the same time. Maybe I should go buy one right now.
