Fence Gates
In daily affairs, first impressions count. This is why it would be unreasonable to overlook the importance of your home's fence gates-they are the first look anyone gets at your property and should make a lasting impression on your visitors. Of course, the function and shape of fence gates varies with the needs of their owner. Some, inspired by the famously beautiful English gardens, look for a mostly decorative, ornate set of fence gates-all curlicues and pleasant shapes. These kinds of fence gates are mostly made of wrought-iron or wood because they are easy to shape or carve, aiding with the finesse of the fence gates' beautifying effect on your home. This is especially effective when the fence allows one to see the garden through it-maximizing the desired effect. Not all, however, think ornamentation comes first. To some, "first priorities" rhymes with "security." Tall fence gates then become in order, perhaps accompanied by intimidating spikes as post-caps. These will cause any would-be intruder to think twice before attempting to climb your fence gates.
Fence gates can be formed of a single hinged door or a more imposing set of double doors, matching the owner's desires. Build a path up to your gate and then from your fence gates to your front door if you desire a unifying effect that leads visitors on a miniature adventure before they even reach your actual home. Fence gates are also well complemented by a set of climbing vines-just make sure to trim them when they threaten to lock the door organically with their gripping expansion. Whatever you do, make absolutely sure that your fence gates match your inner individual, communicating a clear message to your friends, visitors, and even the postman.
