DVDs

I remember buying our first DVD. It was kind of exciting to buy something new to the market. Of course now the DVD has taken over for the VHS movies.

I wonder what kids will be watching 20 years from now. Will it still be the DVD or will it be something far more sophisticated.

I always thought the VHS was just fine. It took me awhile to switch from one to the other.

When DVD's were first hitting the shelves in the movie stores, the VHS movies were still up front and center. The stores gave us a little time to adjust to this new technology.

People bought them and still do buy them like crazy. Many have quite the DVD library.

I am not one to watch a movie over and over again. Even if I really enjoyed it, I don't think I have to own it. That being said, we buy DVD's for Christmas for ourselves and as gifts for others. It is a nice gift, not to expensive and easy to find.

I enjoy borrowing DVD's from friends. Most people enjoy lending and recommending movies to watch and are happy to lend them to be enjoyed.

A good place to find some of the old standards is at the Public Library.

You can take out DVD's for a week at a time and enjoy them at home.

Although libraries don't have any where near the selection that a movie rental store does, you can find some good DVD's and borrow them all you want.

It's amazing how many stores are now renting out DVD's. It seems that every corner store has a section where you can rent a DVD. It is a big business.

Gift cards to a store that sells DVD's is a safe gift if you can't decide what to get someone. Everybody loves a good movie and its fun to go and pick out the one you really want. A little popcorn and your all set.
