Christmas Shopping

Christmas shopping for some starts the day after Christmas. Stores put a lot on sale right after December 25 and many will buy things and put them away for the next Christmas.

Wrapping, cards, music, bows and Christmas décor will go on sale so that the store can get rid of them and not have to keep them throughout the year until the next Christmas season. If you are the type who likes a bargain and doesn't mind storing things for awhile before you need to use them, after Christmas shopping for Christmas makes perfect sense.

Christmas shopping for many starts with a list. The list grows and gets changes many times but still, you need your trusty list.

For some, Christmas shopping is done all year round. If they see something that they know someone on their list would like, they buy it and put it away for Christmas. For others, Christmas shopping starts on December 24 and ends on December 24. Thus, the phrase "last minute shopper" is invented.

Christmas shopping can be very enjoyable. Perhaps you shop for a couple of hours and then meet your friend for lunch. Or maybe you shop for an afternoon and then meet your husband at the office and go out for dinner.

Christmas shopping at a big mall can be very crowded and you end up standing in long line ups to pay for your items. You can also drive around the mall 100 times looking for a parking spot and end up fighting with the guy for the one spot you both finally found.

Some families have simplified the Christmas shopping task and they put their names in a hat. Each member takes out 1 name and buys a gift worth a certain amount of money for that 1 family member. Makes life a little easier, both on your time and our wallet.

In the end, gifts get bought, wrapped and delivered. Some are happy and some are not so happy with their gifts.

Some Christmas shop in the comfort of their own home sitting at their computers. Now that's my kind of Christmas shopping.
