Christmas Gifts

Who do you give a Christmas gift to? The mail person who delivers your mail to you 5 days of the week, the lady who takes in your dirty shirts at the cleaners with a smile on her face every time? What about the hockey coach who gets up every Sunday morning and arrives 10 minutes earlier then the rest of you just to be sure he is the first on the ice.

A Christmas gift can mean so much to someone who is not at all expecting it from the person who is giving it. It doesn't have to be anything special. It's not the size that counts, or the cost for that matter. It is the thought that counts.

Many of us have out standard Christmas gift list that we make year after year. Do you add to your list or take away from year to year?

I guess if we have a new born baby in our family, or a new friend that we have really bonded with, we might add them to our Christmas gift list.

Once you buy something for someone do you cross their name off the list? That might help you feel you are accomplishing something and making good progress.

I don't think it matters what age we are, there is something exciting about opening a Christmas gift. Is it the pleasure of knowing that someone has taken the time to pick it out with you in mind. Is it the excitement of having no idea what it is?

Kids of course are so excited with the thought of opening a Christmas gift. They peak under the tree and see what Christmas gift has their name on it.

I think kids really enjoy seeing someone open a gift that they have picked out for them. It is the fun of seeing how much they like what they have chosen. I always liked to see my Mum open up something that I had given her. It made me happy.
