Chairs
What kind of a chair do you like to sit in? I think most people have their favorite chair at home. I do. I bought one of those big chairs. I think they call it a chair and a half. It is a chair and a half. I can lie on it sideways and almost stretch out. Two people can sit in it together, cozy but do-able.
The old chair that sits in the corner and looks pretty is not the most useful chair in the house but maybe has some sentimental value attached. Perhaps it was you Grandmother's chair, or a special antique you picked up in the country one weekend.
The old wicker rocking chair on the front porch has had lots of use. I would love to hear a few of the stories that were shared while rocking in that chair. A few cocktails were sipped, a coffee or cup of tea to warm the hands, and some good old conversation.
Lazy boy chairs are the best. So comfortable. You push a button and the feet come up. You want to lean back at the same time and you just push another button.
I think of lazy boys as old chairs that aren't really around much anymore. I don't think that is the case. There are stores that just sell lazy boys.
I used to lean back in my chair at the dinner table when I was a kid and my parents would get upset with me. "Sit up straight at the table, you're going to break the legs on the chair". I say that to my kids now but I am more concerned that they are going to fall over backwards onto the hard wood floor and crack their head open.
I like the big wooden deck chairs. People paint them all different colours and they look so nice lined up together. You can buy them put together or in a box and you have to assemble them. I opt for the ones already assembled. I'm not the best with a screwdriver and set of instructions.
