Decorative Pillows
Decorative pillows? Aren't all pillows decorative? Maybe the pillows we actually buy to sleep on aren't considered decorative pillows, but I would think the rest are.
Pillows are for 2 things, comfort to rest our head on, and to add something to a room. The pillows that we actually sleep on are not put on the bed to decorate, but the pillows we buy to put in front of them are certainly decorative pillows.
When we shop for a pillow or 2 do we go into a store and say we are looking for a decorative pillow? I know I don't. I do however go into a store to buy a pillow with a colour in mind and a particular chair our couch in mind for the pillow I am looking for.
There are so many decor magazines out there that talk about accessorizing your home. Decorative pillows are certainly something that gets mentioned often. You often see a couch with 5 or 6 decorative pillows on it. Depending on the size of the couch and how comfortable the decorative pillows are, you might find yourself putting those pillows on the floor so you can get comfortable. What is the point? I know, it is for decoration.
Are designer pillows the same as decorative pillows? I think they probably are. People who have a favorite designer are always happy to see just about anything with that particular designer's name on it. It can be a blanket, a picture frame or a decorative pillow. If you fancy that designer, you are more apt to buy it.
Decorative pillows really help to pick up a boring room. It is a fairly inexpensive way to bring colour and fun into a room. A boring room can really shine with some fun, outgoing pillows.
