Air Mattresses
Do you take an air mattress to sleep on if you go camping? Some would argue that you are not really camping if you sleep on an air mattress.
Whatever. If you have a better sleep on an air mattress then on the hard ground why wouldn't you take an air mattress?
I don't think I have ever gone camping without an air mattress to sleep on. I like my comforts. It's not a bed but it's a lot better then the alternative.
I know people who use an air mattress on the floor at home if they need an extra bed for a guest. It is not the most comfortable sleep but it's not that bad either.
It is the blowing up of the air mattress that can be a bit of a problem. The pump is your best friend when it comes to air mattresses.
It takes forever to blow up an air mattress. I find I get a headache by the time I have it full of air.
The other use for an air mattress is just chilling in the water. Lying in the pool on the air mattress is a great way to spend an afternoon. I like the air mattresses that have the built in drink holder in it. A cold beer, the hot sun and your all set.
Double air mattresses are a lot of fun. Two of you can hang out together and enjoy an afternoon in the pool together.
I like to try and stand on the air mattress when I am at the cottage in the lake. It is so much fun trying to keep your balance when a wave rolls in.
